Judge – Mr Richard Morris
A pleasing entry of seven, but sadly only two appeared, but what a super pair they proved. My thanks to my stewards Barry and Marjorie Allison.

Stood alone in this class but at two and three quarter years old, a most typical, worthy winner and breed representative as BOB. Sizeable head and well formed wide skull, fullness to the muzzle, clearly defined stop, clear amber eyes, well shaped and set, distinct brows. Outstanding quality of bone, excellent formed pasterns front and rear and the best of large feet, well padded and covered, outline long bodied and heavy, sprung ribcage extending well back, firm across the loins. Stood stoically in character and well balanced throughout with hocks particularly well set promoting super hind movement with power and lift to his rolling action, very positive in front. Well feathered overall and carrying a super abundant, silky coat especially considering the time of year, beautifully presented. Obviously thrilled for the owner and the breed when he claimed the Group under such a gundog authority as Mrs Iles, many congratulations.

A ten month old daughter of the dog winner, the only bitch present, but a star in her own right with plenty of breed character to admire. Correct length of leg, well proportioned throughout, another with excellent quality and strength of bone and wonderfully supportive, sizeable feet. Nostrils full and open, delightful breed expression, lovely spring of ribcage, especially well muscled across the loins for her age, broad and long back, well turned stifles with tail well set, feathered and correctly carried. The best of hindquarter muscling with second thighs strong at a young age from running with another breed I gather. A very happy and super sound mover who should enjoy a bright future, BP, BB & BOS.
