| Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at this show where there is always a friendly welcome. Such a shame the British weather did its best to try & spoil the day. After all it's an outdoor show on a race course, exhibitors know this when they enter so it's no good complaining when things get a little messy. Thanks to my efficient stewards Ian & Pauline Sidgwick for keeping things moving smoothly. Clumber Spaniels. Thank you to all the exhibitors for a super entry on a Friday. I compliment you all for presenting them so well in the dirty conditions. Some coped with the ground better than others & this did affect my placing. | Not the maturity of second but I liked his overall construction & balance along with his sound action, handling could have been better, head with square muzzle & clean eye gentle expression, deep chest, firm top line, good length of body, needs to fill out & strengthen in loin, well developed thighs & good turn of stifle, held himself well on the move. | |
